CNG Coming back to a Ford Dealer Near You
CNG Coming Back to a Ford Dealer Near You!
BAF Technologies is here in the Valley signing up local Ford Dealers to offer their CNG dedicated conversions as a new vehicle option.
Yes, the Ford 150, 250, & F-350 will be offered through local Ford Dealers in dedicated CNG with a standard 21 gallon tank, with a 31 gallon option on the
5.4 L Ford engine. E-350 Ford vans will also be offered with a 20 gallon capacity and the E-450 chassis with a 30 gallon capacity. (gge)
The agreement will designate the Ford dealers as warranty centers for BAF also so the purchase and service will be seamless for the vehicle owner.
If your Ford Dealer has not signed up yet, please call Bill Calvert, VP Sales, BAF Technologies, 214-231-1450 or bcalvert@baftechnologies.com
Previously only large fleets had access to BAF's conversions, now CNG will be available to anyone who orders a new Ford through their local Ford dealer.
It is believed that Five Star Ford is the first Ford dealer to sign onto the program in the Phoenix area.

I like the idea. Just wish it was bi-fuel. Would like to use CNG for everyday driving but have the gasoline to go on travel to calif or Lake Havasu. Also wish it was available for the Expedition!!

I'm with Dan. I would like to be able to take the vehicle on the road and not worry about finding fuel.

This is a great idea. Gas prices stink and there is still a tax deduction for vehicles over 6000GVRW. What about a Ford Explorer Sporttrac cng? Or an F150 crew cab? How much is the bump and how much do the tax incentives pay?

You would need to call Ford, your local dealer and BAF Technologies in Texas and request it.
They won't know unless people like you speak up! Like everything else, they won't produce it
unless they know there is enough demand to make money at it.
Unfortunately the incentives only apply to dedicated vehicles, not dual fuel.

Anyone have a list of the Valley Ford dealers that are signed up?

Unfortunately none have signed up, the steep price of $14,000.00 might be one of the factors.

Does this conversion qualify for the $11,000 federal tax credit?

Will CNG conversions be available for a 2006 F-150? Also agree with Dan and Doug above, that dual fuel would not limit me, and fuel costs would definitely make natural gas the winner except when I am stranded.

The BAF Conversions are only available on brand new Ford Trucks, the closest dealer currently offering them is Wondries Ford in California, They will be displaying at the Tucson Alt Energy Expo at the Tucson Convention Center on March 6-7.
