FuelMaker Troubles
On April 2nd, Honda ordered the company into liquidation, closed the
doors and terminated all employees worldwide. Since that time with pleas from the industry, company executives and
dealer network, negotiations have been ongoing to find a way to get the company opened back up under altered
conditions or under new ownership since such a large part of the NGV industry and customers rely on the FuelMaker
equipment to be serviced and in working order. We have scaled back our spending and commitments until we find
out if we will see our parts and equipment orders resume so we can properly service our customers and commitments.
There are 15,000 FuelMaker units out there and most of these units are still in operation. We hope there is an equitable
outcome to this story as the FuelMaker units are such a large part of the NGV infrastructure all over the world and a key part
of the infrastructure challenge in many areas including Arizona. We've had 10+ years relationship with FuelMaker Corporation
and have developed a friendship with the staff that we hope will continue and only get better in the future.
The Honorable John Shadegg Signs On As Co-Sponsor For The Nat Gas Act Of 2009
At a meeting Monday with some of the Arizona Pickens Plan District 3 members, the Honorable John Shadegg, R- AZ,
confirmed he was supporting the "New Alternative Transportation to Give Americans Solutions Act" (or Nat Gas Act of 2009)
and has signed on as a co-sponsor to the bill. HR # 1835, Which promotes dedicated and bifuel natural gas vehicles,
development of more infrastructure and incentives for our manufacturers to build natural gas vehicles!
The Pickens Plan, NGV America, CNG Now, Clean Energy and many other industry groups, companies and individuals are supporting the passage of this bill.

Pioneer Natural Resources Converts 25 of its trucks to Natural Gas
Pioneer Natural Resources, a gas service company in Colorado has converted 25 of their trucks to run on cleaner and cheaper natural
gas and installed a fueling station at their headquarters.
Ford Announces Gas Ready Engines
Ford Motor Co announced they will be offering a gas ready 5.4 engine for conversion upfitters and will also offer it soon
in the 6.8 litre V-10. The change is tied to the AT&T deal with BAF Technologies for a 5 year conversion contract, starting
with the conversion of 600 AT&T Vans this year to natural gas and totaling 8000 vehicles over the 5 year contract.
